In my first job, as an elementary teacher, I struggled to customize my lesson plans for the individual student needs. When I transitioned to a career in edtech, I spent years designing customized experiences for classroom learners. But there were always limitations to the personalization we could offer families in a 30:1 environment.

As a mother, I know that my son’s education needs are different from his peers. And I believe that educators embrace differences, rather than try to standardize, is when the magic happens.
