Demonstrate academic readiness through test scores

Dedicate time to SAT or ACT preparation to enhance your child’s scores and increase their college options.

Prepare a comprehensive transcript

Download a template through the Time4Learning parent dashboard as a starting point. Include course titles, grades, credits, and a GPA. Printing out reports and scope and sequence descriptions for Time4Learning courses can also help admissions officers understand the completeness of the material covered.

Consider dual-enrollment credit

Pair Time4Learning with local community college courses to earn credits while completing high school, save money and demonstrate college readiness.

Encourage advanced coursework

Consider taking an advanced placement test to demonstrate college readiness and get college credit. Many homeschoolers independently study and take the AP test. Currently, Time4Learning doesn’t offer AP classes, however, our accredited school, Brightspire has a nice selection of AP courses.

Emphasize extracurricular excellence

Take advantage of your family’s flexible learning schedule and encourage participation in clubs, volunteering, or part-time jobs to strengthen your child’s college applications. Make sure to keep records and track on the student transcript.

Portfolio

This is a great place to show your full hands-on homeschool experience. Highlight a reading list, showcase graded essays, science lab reports, or projects to demonstrate academic depth. Finally, showcase awards from competitions or recognition for volunteer work.

Letters of Recommendation

Obtain letters of recommendation from non-parent community members like co-op teachers, community college instructors, or community mentors like coaches, scout leaders, and managers.

Real-world feedback from parents and students

I’m a full-time working parent, and Time4Learning has been a lifesaver. My child can work independently, and I love how easy it is to track their progress.

The flexibility is incredible. On days when work is hectic, we shift lessons to the evening or weekend, and it doesn’t disrupt our overall progress.

The grading and reports save me hours every week. It’s like having a virtual assistant for homeschooling!
